May was a challenging month for many families in our district as the Garden Grove chemical emergency forced tens of thousands of residents to evacuate their homes and brought daily life across the community to a standstill.
This month marked two important steps forward for our community, both in supporting those who have served and strengthening accountability in our local institutions.

After a productive legislative session that wrapped up in September, my team and I have been hard at work both in Sacramento and here in the District. October was a busy month — from the Governor signing many of our bills into law to celebrating new projects at ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings, and even joining in on a little spooky fun.
June was a turbulent month for the district. We saw protests, difficult scenes of deportations, and even the National Guard deployed right in the heart of downtown Santa Ana.
