Senator Thomas J. Umberg (D-Santa Ana), together with Democratic colleagues and community stakeholders from Orange County held a Joint COVID Vaccination Clinic in Anaheim yesterday and successfully issued first or second COVID vaccine doses to almost 100 people.

SACRAMENTO — Today, Senator Tom Umberg (D - Orange County) was named Chair of the California State Senate Judiciary Committee by State Senate Pro Tem Toni Atkins. Senator Umberg has served as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee since 2018. SACRAMENTO — Today, Senator Tom Umberg (D - Orange County) introduced 3 Senate Concurrent Resolutions to honor the contributions of the Vietnamese American community in California. These resolutions help to celebrate the rich diversity of cultures across the state and specifically call attention to the proud history of Vietnamese Americans. SACRAMENTO – Today, Senator Thomas J. Umberg (D – Orange County) announced plans to introduce a bill that would provide relief to businesses heavily impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and subsequent Stay at Home Orders. Businesses who have been forced to operate at a diminished capacity, or oftentimes shut down entirely, have compounded their sacrifices by also continuing to dutifully pay their state and local mandated operating fees. This proposed legislation would alleviate these state and local fee obligations to heavily impacted businesses.

Since they began in 2019, the Power of One Foundation has worked tirelessly to help feed 1.7 million individuals, and they continue to expand their operation to help more people in the state of California.
