In a notable milestone in Orange County’s commitment to end homelessness, Senator Tom Umberg championed and secured $2 million to fund local homelessness efforts. Governor Gavin Newsom approved the one-time funding as part of the 2023-2024 California State Budget.

The Hub Resource Center partnership is guided by the proven Continuum of Care model and meets the daily needs of the area’s unhoused population. This model aims to move them through a process that helps them recognize their issues and concerns, while providing resources for overcoming them, and then offers a path towards reintegration. HRC’s ultimate goal is to move the unhoused population into a stable housing situation by providing services that help remove barriers to housing, including childcare, counseling, addiction recovery, job skills and placement, and medical, dental, and vision care.
