Senator Umberg Hosts 350 People at Successful Weekend Health and Resource Fair
(Anaheim, CA) – Senator Thomas J. Umberg (D-Santa Ana), together with local officials and 46 community organizations from Orange County held an incredibly successful health fair and resource fair in Anaheim over the weekend attended by more than 350 people.
The fair, held at Loara High School on Saturday, June 22nd from 10:00am to 2:00pm was hosted by State Senator Tom Umberg and Anaheim Councilmember Carlos Leon.
“I am always impressed with our health fairs and the number of residents who are able to connect with local organizations and receive services on-site over the course of just a few hours. This event is what community service is all about, bringing these resources directly to our constituents,” said Senator Umberg.

Saturday’s fair resulted in 80 pairs of glasses distributed with vision exams, 67 food boxes distributed, 90 COVID-19 and senior flu shots, 46 general health screenings, 20 narcan kits distributed, and a number of colorectal cancer screening kits being sent home with residents.
“I want to thank all of the vendors, organizations, and service providers who came out to join in what has been a recurring success,” added Senator Umberg. “By removing barriers to access, we can ensure that communities too often overlooked can continue to receive essential care.”

Senator Thomas Umberg represents the 34th Senate District which includes the cities of Anaheim, Buena Park, East Whittier, Fullerton, Garden Grove, La Habra, Long Beach, Orange, Placentia, Santa Ana, and South Whittier.
