Senator Umberg Sponsors Free Seminar Warning Seniors of Prevalent Scams

September 30, 2019

SANTA ANA – Senator Tom Umberg (D – Orange County), the California Contractors State License Board, and the Delhi Center are hosting a FREE Senior Scam StopperSM seminar.  A panel of experts from various agencies will provide information to seniors about the scams that target the senior community, and how they can protect themselves from becoming victims.  Attendees will get questions answered and obtain assistance if they have been scammed.

“Our efforts are to let people know not only what’s happening in their own community, but also some of the other newer, and trending scams that can plague anyone, their families, and their neighbors,” said Senator Tom Umberg. “It’s an unfortunate reality that there are people that prey on seniors, their money, and their retirement. This seminar is to help protect our community.”

Join Senator Tom Umberg on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Delhi Center, 505 E. Central Avenue, in Santa Ana. For additional information, please contact Senator Umberg’s office at 714-558-3785.
